Loving Our Community
We are a church that are passionate about sharing God’s love and an important part of our ministry is to help support children and families across our local community.
We recognise that mission begins at a local level and as such we are eager to help make a positive impact.
Throughout the year we run various projects aimed at supporting families during the school year and at Christmas time.
With the increased cost of living, we appreciate that some families may struggle to make ends meet. With the added pressure of the increased costs of school uniforms and the cost of Christmas our projects are in place to provide a helping hand. Our pre-loved clothes projects consider the planet through the careful recycling of used clothes that are in great condition.
At Pathway, we have a team of dedicated volunteers who help with the smooth running of our community projects, sharing God’s love and compassion in our neighbourhood.

Community Projects
We have partnered with MADE4U IN ML2 over the last 3 years to coordinate our school backpack project. During this time, we have supported over 700 local children. We run this project from the start of June through August each year to coincide with the start of the new school year. The project provides an age-appropriate school backpack, essential stationery items, packed lunch snacks for younger children and toiletries for secondary age children. We work closely with local schools and other services to ensure our support reaches those most in need.
It was great to be asked to be involved with this project. Our families struggle to buy things such as new backpacks and unfortunately are seen as a luxury item rather than a necessity for school as finances just don’t allow it
Amazing and the kids loved the pencil case and bag of goodies!
Our School Uniform Bank has been running for the last 3 years providing preloved and new school uniform clothing, jackets, and shoes. We hold a good selection of uniforms, including local school ties, jumpers, and blazers. The uniform bank is open to everyone and we welcome donations of pre-loved items throughout the year that we can recycle.

Our Sparkle and Shine project has been running since 2021 and has supported over 600 children. We provide pre-loved party outfits, Christmas jumpers and other clothing items such as jackets and nightwear. This support is open to everyone and we also accept donations throughout the year of pre-loved clothes that we recycle. We open each year before the Christmas party season begins to allow parents and carers to come along and get organised for their kids parties!

Our Christmas Toy Drive started in 2021, we partner with MADE4U IN ML2 to help local families and children. With the generous support of local donors from across the community we have helped over 1170 children to the end of 2023. Our Christmas Toy Drive provides age-appropriate toys/gifts and selection boxes. We work closely with local schools and other services who provide referrals to ensure our resources and support reaches those most in need. This much needed support helps to share love and joy at Christmas time.

A new project coming soon is the delivery of CAP Money coaching. We have linked up with CAP to take action and do our bit to help bring an end to poverty in our community. We will be working with local agencies and schools to deliver CAP training to children and the wider community to help them learn practical day-to-day skills on how to manage money and budget.
